| Information | Pioneer, among the first to come to the area of Church's Ferry, ca. 1883, the settlers there started growing wheat, that they had to transport (with oxen) all the way to Larimore, between 80 to 90 miles, they lived in dugouts, there was no material for log cabins. Besides, they felt more secure in dugouts since the strong winds could not carry them away. |
