| Information | Died in Turner County 1899. Of the first emigrant from Horningdal, Nordfjord, came to America by sail in the 50’s. When they reach Illinois they got cholera and none wanted to house them. They got the riverboat, 6 or 7 persons in all. One boy and a girl died and Stephen almost lost his life himself. Got to California to dig gold. See page 156 for more. |
