Admiral Sir John Balchen

This is my first request, hope someone can help.! We think there is a link with Admiral Sir John Balchen and the Norway Balchen families. Sir John died at sea in 1799 when his ship capsized in a great storm off of Alderny, The ship was called "Victory" not the Victory of Admiral Nelson but a previous vessel. We have a Balchin Society here in the UK our WebSite is www.balchin-family.org.uk, any help in proving a link would be most welcome. Many thanks from Roy.
