arrived Canada 1903 from Norway

I just joined the group. My great grandfather reportedly arrived in Canada 1903 from Norway. I haven't a lot more information than his name, family members and dates of birth. A German friend touring Norway was unable to find the birthplace which we have as Brono, Helgeland, NORWAY Where do I start? I'd possibly be interested in transcribing the passenger list if I can find it and if it's not already done. tulin2
