Bendiksen/Nordgaarden Surname

Hello all! New here and starting to do some research on family history. We trace our roots back to Vinje, Telemark but don't know much about the origin of our surname. Jorgen Bendiksen (Nordgaarden potentially) is the farthest we can go on the father side. He was born sometime around 1791 (one record shows 1825) and had a son named Bendik Jorgensen Tweeten (Tveiten or Tveitane presumed). Jorgen was married to Singre Nordgaarden who was born on July 21, 1827. Her lineage can be traced back quite a bit but I'd like to know if anyone is familiar with these names or may have a connection? I'd really like to find out where Jorgen resided and if there are any other connections we can make to his family. Thanks and looking forward to your replies!
