Blehr

Hi, I'm new to this Fourm so I hope this is the right time and place to ask this... My Great-Grandfather, Albert Blehr (b1853) emigrated to Canada in the 1870s, probably through Halifax Nova Scotia but possibly through Quebec City or even New York(???). He ended up in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Originally I was told he was from Hamar, Norway but I haven't been able to prove that and Telemark (is that a region?) seems to show up in earlier relations. His parents were Albert Blehr (b1805) and Maren Stenersen (b1818). I believe they were married in 1837 in Vang, Hedmark, Norway. My Great-Grandfather's brother was apparently Otto Blehr and he is supposed to have been the first Prime Minister of Norway when it separated from Norway. I haven't even been able to confirm that fact and it should have been easy, I would have thought. In fact I haven't been able to find any information on my Great-Grandfatheror, his generation of syblings or their descendants. If anyone an give me any ideas, information or sugggestions I'd be grateful. Again, I hope this is the appropriate forum to post this question and apologize if out of order.
