Brithe Nielsdatter #1 clarification

Sogndahl: Niels Andersen/Sigri Torkildsdatter had a daughter, Brithe baptized 13 Jan 1805. Sigri dies and later Niels marries Sigri's sister Guri Torkildsdatter. They have a daughter that is baptized Brithe on 14 Jan 1809. Is there a death record available for Brithe #1? According to the naming custom, can it be assumed that Brithe #1 died sometime between 1805 and 1809 when Brithe #2 is born? Also can you translate the word sødskende that I find in the census?
