Carl Eriksen

I am trying to locate any information on a man named Carl Eriksen. Family records list him as Karl Enersen, and I am not sure which is the correct name or spelling. Carl appears to be originally from Värmland in Sweden, however likely was living in the area of Tolgen, Nordre Osterdalin around 1869 as he is listed as father of Embret Carlson, who was born April 17 1870 in Kotmoen. The baptism record lists Carl as the father but indicates he was not married to the mother (Gidsken Tollefsdatter). I am hoping to find any information on Carl, as I have so little to go on I am not even sure where to start. Any suggestions or clues would be very appreciated!
