Hello, My relative Samuel Johnson born 1856 (+-2 years) has put on his census information (1881,1891,1901,1911) that he is from Norway. In the 1891 census he actually puts down a place name, or so I think it is. I am sure for that census they were still filled in by the census officer so not sure if the officer has written the name correctly. Samuel's daughter's surname was actually recorded as Johansen. She was born in Broadstairs. He lived in Broadstairs as a Brewer's Drayman. Just incase this is helpful to anyone. The place name looks like 'fuiustae' (including the lowercase f. I am most likely completely wrong but can't see how to attach a copy of the image for anyone to see for themselves. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Sarah
