Connecting ship from Liverpool to NY

I am interested in information as to the ships connecting with the SS Argo (1) in May, 1867. The passenger list is at http://www.norwayheritage.org/p_list.asp?jo=126&ps=105125 My main interest is how the 4 members of the Helland family below got to New York. From the information on the passenger list, I assume they must have arrived from Christiania at Hull, then taken the train to Liverpool, and another ship to NY. Is there any information available on the connections? Thanks! ID 955412648 Helland 44 Dep. 10 may 1867. Rev.. Stavanger - New York ID 955422648 Helland 23 Dep. 10 may 1867. Ms..
