Disapppeared grandfather Østen (Osten) Olson Vike

Hi, Østen Olson Vike vas b. ocktober 18, 1893 in Aakre Skånevik. He went to Roland, Story Co. Iowa for the first time 1910, was going to an uncle. He return to Norway and married and had children. September 19. 1924 he was going to Roland for the second time ( seeking employment), he went by NAL. A bit strange, his son found his backpack on a hill after he had left. Are there a possibility to see if he had lived in Roland, Iowa, perhaps in 1930 census. Other people from the Vike farm often use Viicks as surename. Thank you in advance, Magnar.
