Edvard Nielsen (1842-1917)

Greetings. I am looking for the parents of my great Grandfather, Edvard Nielsen who was born in Norway abt 1842 and died in Hull, Yorkhire, England on 6 April 1917. He married my great Grandmother in Glasgow, Scotland on 21 October 1867. They had sons, Niels, Edward, John Henry and Harold Reginald and daughters, Christina, Hannah Sopia and Ada. This may indicate that Edvard's parents were Niels and Christina. He appears in the 1871 Scots census as Edward Nealson. I have located possible parents in Niels Ellevsen and Christi Jensdatter who lived in Askvoll, Sogn og Flordane (IGI film 126372, batch C42260-3). Please could anyone assist me with my search.
