ERIK STEIE/KARI JOHANNESDATER

I have been told that Steie is Americanized from Stedje. I believe that Erik came from the Sogndal area and possibly Kari also. They would have emigrated prior to 1875, probably in the 1860s. I know that they had a son, Carl/Charles Erikson, who was born about 1854 as he was 21 in 1875. Any information would be helpful.
