Finding Johan Hanson

I have spent the day trying to locate records of my gr grandfather. JOHAN BERNHOF HANSON (EN). He was born January 10, 1866 in Christiansen. I have searched through church records, emmigration records(He came to the US in 1892) , census information with no luck. Perhaps one of the more experienced can please help me. Anything would be appreciated. Thankyou
