Gaard history

I am now researching information on my grandparents of whom I have little info. I am hoping someone can help me. Can anyone find information on my grandmother who was born in Illinois on November 30, 1877. I have obtained different spellings of her parents names. Her father's name has been spelled both as Tulag (Tollof) and Tullack Gaard. Her mother has been listed as both Rachel and as Severina. Suuposedly she was also a Gaard but not related! I question if they could have been living on the same farm while in Norway. They probably married in Norway. The little info I have says that their families came from Stavanger, Norway area. I question if they lived in the Kendall County, Illinois area. I would appreciate any help. I am interested in parents, siblings, dates, emigration date and possibly the ships on which they came to America on. I know I'm asking for lots of information. I will appreciate anything that can be found or if you could direct me to some links that would be helpful. Thanks so much. C Dahl
