Gikling

I wonder if anyone can help me? I`m trying to find something about my grandmothers brother, who, as been said, left Norway to seek The American dream! He`s name was Harald (Emil?) Gikling, born in sept. 1885, or 1886, in Sunndal, Norway. We can`t find him at any lists for emigration, but we know he lived in the U.S from a letter. If anyone know anything about him, wife, children, please let med know! He may also have changed his name to Harold, or something simmilar...
