Haugland

I am looking for the parents of one GUSTAV O. HAUGLAND, who was born on March 5, 1895, probably in Bergen, Norway. He was supposed to have passed through Ellis Island, USA. in 1911. I have been unable to find him on the passenger lists maintained by Ellis Island. Nor can I find him on the 1900 Norwegian census. I have found GUSTAV, and his family, on the census records for Wisconsin, USA, but so far I have not been able to connect him to a family in Norwqay. There may be a possibility that the name he used in the US, was not the name he was born with. That would also explain why I can't find him on the Ellis Island passenger lists. Is there any means, that anyone might know, of linking him to his Norwegian family? I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thank You Kadona1 explain
