Help finding Halgren Brotten

I'm looking for help finding Halgren Brotten and have been stumped despite the abundant resources online. The only family resoures I have say that he and his wife, Margaret, maiden name Ellefson had a farm near Christiania. Also, they may have been married around 1881. I believe Margaret's birthday is 3/12/1863. Thank you.
