Looking fo rfamily of Hermand Martinson Wivelstad, born October 1856 in Lien Norway. Hermand was my great grandfather and its my understanding that he left Norway to come to America to be a stone mason. We were always told his family in Norway wanted him to be a veterinarian so I assume he possibly grew up on a farm. He supposed stowed away on a ship to come to America and arrived in he port of Boston in June 1882.
