Attempting to comprehend a nynorsk passage in Bygdebok for Alenfit...describes an area in Nordhordaland. I can find no translation for the recurring term "huseby". Example: "Frå husebyen nørdst på Holsnøy kunne det haldast auga med skip..." I get the impression: some kind of guest house, or lodging for the king's emissaries or...? Any help appreciated.
