immagration papers

I have my g-grandfathers papers and my grandmothers pasport where they came to america. the paper of my grandfathers is hand written and in norwegian, I can not read it. the passport is a government document. I would like to have the letter translated but also donate this material if it would be wanted to a museum for preservation. Can anyone help lead me in the right direction? e-mail me at [email hidden] papers circa 1900 and 1917
