Is there a place

This is my first post so please bear with me. I have located a relative who emigrated from SCHONWICK about 1880 to America. I have not found Schonwick Norway, is there or was there such a place? Was this a farm? My Relative's Surname was Severson. Any help would be appreciated. RAS
