Jens Emanuel Olsen

I am trying to locate Jens Emanuel, he left Norway from Kristiansand 19 mar 1886 and destination was Iowa. Jens Emanuel was born june 6 -1868 in Møskeland, Lyngdal, Vest Agder in Norway- I found that Jens Emanuel left on march 20 in 1885 with ship Amerikalinjen, destination Iowa- suppose he has been home for a visit when he is found in emigration lists in 1886[?] in 1889 there is one Jens E Mørkedal leaving on april 13. This may be the same person, because it says in the emigration papers that he has emigrated in 1885 and lives in Iowa-I belive that this name Mørkedal could be a misspell of Møskeland-the place where Jens Emanuel was born. My problem is that I am not able to locate him in USA---
