Johan Thoreson - from Norway to Minneapolis 1887

I am trying to find out what happened to Johan Thoreson Brandaas and his family. He was born in Meldal in 1853/54 and departured from Trondheim on May 4, 1887 on the ship Hero. He travelled with his wife Johanna, born ab. 1857, and their children Thore Johnson (ab. 1880) and Ingeborg Johnson (ab. 1882). I don´t know what happened to them after they left Norway, and I wonder if anyone can try to find them in the 1900 Census. Johan had a brother who also emigrated. He called himself Thompson in America.
