Looking for information on Thomas Thompson

Thomas Thompson, born 1836?, father Nickolai Thompson, mother Mary Thompson, both born Norway. This information was taken from Thomas marriage license to Mary Thommason.(Nov 2, 1876 Bloomer, Chippewa, Co, Wisconsin) He died 1885, Sioux Creek, Barron, Wisconsin from a lumbering accident. I can't seem to find any info on the family before the marriage. Ii would like to know the spelling of Thompson, where in Norway did they come from and anything else I can find about my Great Great Grandparents. If he had brothers or sisters in Wisconsin?
