Looking for relatives Jens E. Stedje

Jens E. Stedje was my great grandfather. I believe he was born around 1872 in the Sogndal area. He came to the USA and enlisted in the US Army. Was stationed in the Philippines during the Philippine American War in the late 1890s. Married Lucia Detera in the Philippines and had one daughter. Jens attained rank of Lt. Colonel. I have a photo of a man I believe is Jens, but would like to find other relatives who can confirm his identity. Thank you. D. Richardson
