Mathias Christoffersen Bjune

Hi Mathias Christoffersen born Des. 14, 1846 in Ramnes, Norway was my grgrgrandmother's brother. (Surname also spelled Christophersen or Kristoffersen, Kristophersen.) He left Norway May 1, 1872 and was going to "Minoca" according to this: http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=1&filnamn=EMIOSLO&gardpostnr=24631&merk=24631#ovre (I guess this must be Minocqua in Oneida, Wisconsin.) I'm not able to find anything about him in US. Did he get married? Children? In censuses? All I know is that he still lived in "Amerika" when his mother died Nov. 30, 1903 in Norway. His parents were Christopher Hansen and Maren Sophie Andersdatter. He might also have used the name of the farm he was born at: Bjune, as surname.
