Merchant Ships Registration?

My great-grandfather owned a fleet of merchant ships at the turn of the century (he was listed as residing in Bermuda at the time of the 1900 census, as he had sailed there at the time in one of his ships). Is there a registry of Norwegian Merchant ships from that time? Anything available online? Thank you, David
