Norman Markusen and Carl Markusen census lookup

I am currently doing some research on my g-grandmothers family which originated from Steigen in Nordland, Norway. I have found that two of her brothers, Karl Johan Markussen Kvalnes b. 6/6-1863 and Norman Angel Markussen Kvalnes b. 29/7-1865, both emigrated to Dakota. Norman went in 1884: Moving list Police emigration records Trondhjem Karl went in 1888: Moving list Police emigration records Trondhjem I have no trace of them after emigrating, but it would be fun to find out anything about their history in America, and if they have any descendants. If anyone have access to the US censuses I would apprecate any information that could be passed on to me. I should think maybe they used Markuson, Markusson or Marcuson, Markusson as possible variations of the name. Thanks very much for any help!
