Norwegians in Brooklyn, NY

On 30 Oct 1906, my grandmother's sister arrived in New York from Bergen, age 30. Her purpose was to marry her "vorlevende", Iver G. Iverson, then living in Brooklyn...probably a merchant sailor. He had emigrated from Bergen in 1900. I understand there were quite a few Norwegians living in Brooklyn then. Does anyone know whether there might be parish records of marriages from that time in Brooklyn, such as one would find from parishes in Norway? These folks raised my father, so they were grandparents of a sort to me, but not interested in talking of the past.
