Hi I'm trying to find info about Olive Olsen O'Connor, aka Oline Olsdatter. I think she was know as Lena also. By all accounts she arrived in New Zealand 1872. I assume that she would have arrived in Lyttleton as she was married in Christchurch within about a year. Apparently her sister Alina (?) travelled with her too. She married James O'Connor from County Kerry, Ireland, and they settled first in Southbridge, Canterbury, and then Chertsey, Canterbury. I haven't had any luck finding her on ship lists for Lyttleton. What I do know is that she was born in Elverum Norway on 14th October 1845. On her death certificate her parents are named 'John and Martha Olsen', but I suspect that they are anglicised versions of those names. If anyone could help me out with finding info about her ancestors in Norway, I would be truly grateful. Kind regards Shelley Ps if anyone stumbles upon her in a shiplist, please let me know.
