Peder Larsson Nestru Landru

I am having a difficult time making progress on this family. A great deal of my info comes from a handwritten photocopied family tree. Part of my difficulty is that they appeared to immigrate during a lull, but before the 1865 census in Norway. I gather that Nestru Landru are place references in Norway. Have they been shortened? I have seen similar names with an "erud" suffix where these names have an "ru". Is there a single place that puts these two names together? I have read that when people moved they changed their name, not added to it. Margit had Fryderlund in parentheses on my family tree. It sounds like a place name to me, just improperly positioned ??? I have searched multiple combinations in the ship archives, taking the possiblity of the wrong year of immigration into account. What direction should I take? Below is the information I have. MN and a Marget Landru, d. 6/6/1908 Douglas Co. MN) A. Lars LANDRU was born in 1858 at WI. He married Betsy MODUM after 1874. He appeared on the census of 1910 at Canada. He lived, died or was buried at Beloit, WI before 1921. He died in 1921. 1. Mable LANDRU died at Age 5 2. Tobby LANDRU 3. Luella LANDRU 4. Manly LANDRU 5. Harris LANDRU 6. Vida LANDRU B. Halvor P. LANDRU (Havorp in MN death index) was born in 1862 at WI. He married Anetta JOHNSON, daughter of Gundar Hoibersmoe JOHNSON and Anna Ingebrigtdtr BJERK, on 29 May 1897 at Moe, Douglas, Minnesota. He appeared on the census of 1910 at Melby. He died on 28 April 1947 at Douglas, MN. 1. Amy Mabel 'Mimi' LANDRU. Her Social Security Number was 472-32-3928. She was born on 8 April 1898 at MN.
