Question about names

Ive been adding more people to my "tree" and wanted to know about these names.. Anne Nikoline stoltenberg pedersdtr norheim. 1st, Is there a reason for such a long name? 2nd, is the "Norheim" part of the name, or ?? there are also names i got from someone that end in Lima, & Nja, and the way it was written i couldnt tell if they just put the town they were born in/or? at the end, or if it was part of the name. thanks for any answers :)
