My grandmother Signe Espeland was forced to leave Norway and her illegitimate baby daughter around 1906/07 and travelled to Canada (NewWesminister, BC). Signe's family in Norway was to raise the baby and I think they were in the Sande, Vestfold County area. Strommen? Anyone with any info would be great. Can't find record of Signe's voyage, proabably travelled under a different last name, maybe Anderesen or Magnesen.
