My Mother was born on this ship and I have all her landing papers which I'm in the process of framing and preserving. She was actually named after he ship and the captain's name - " Hamilton." I'm looking for a picture of the S.S. Scandinavian II suitable for framing with her other papers - all of which will be in a large frame 36X30. Does anyone know where I can get a good picture of the ship even if its just a postcard? The Scandinavian was built 1898 at Harland & Wolff in Belfast as the S/S New England, for the Dominion Line. In January 1912 she was acquired by the Allan Line, and was renamed "Scandinavian". The Scandinavian was set in on the Glasgow - Quebec - Montreal service. 1917 taken over by Canadian Pacific.
