Sande, Vestfold parish records

2 Things 1) Records begin in Archive 1n 1753. Would prior records have been in another parish ? Or is there another reason the records do not go back further ? 2) For born and baptised records, there is a gap from 1759 to 1762 covering pages from 72 through 77. Any information on this ?
