Searching for Parents of

Just beginning my research and not sure where to start. I am looking for mother, father and siblings of Albert Arneson. He was born in Oslo on October 21, 1878. I am not sure when he came here to the U.S. Sometime before 1911. My father was born here in 1911, so I know he came here before. The only other name I have is possibly his mother's name was Breta Maria (don't have the maiden name). Any suggestions on where I should go next?? I would appreciate any advice.
