Seeking Torger Jonsen on Ship Embla 1849

Hi, I'm seeking information about Torger Jonsen b. 1824 in Krødsherad Norway who sailed ( emigrated) on the Ship Embla out from Christiania May 9 1849 and arrived in New York July 6 1849. I guess that there is some kind of emigration registration paper on him located in NYC where he arrived, but do not know where to look. Is there any WEB databases for NYC emigrations in 1849 available? Any information on where he headed in US after arrival in New York and later family life is of interest. rgs, Roar
