Severin Sandnes

We are seeking information on Severin J. H. Sandnes, born 11 April, 1884, the son of Hans Johannesen Sandnes and wife Marta Pedersdtr Aram from Sande parish.. He was from Vannylven, More og Romsdal, Norway. We think he emigrated to the USA at least 3 different times; possibly 1909-1910 (I found him crossing from Canada to North Dakota at Port of arrival at Portal, N. D. Sept. 1910), 1915 and 1924. We cannot find a record of when he returned to Norway at any of these times. His father died in 1923 so being the oldest in the family, the farm went to him. Since we know he came to the USA in 1915, we cannot find any information of where he lived or how long he was in the states. Also, what type of work he did. By law he think he would have had to be at his home farm in Norway to take ownership of the farm following his father's death. He married Marie Hansdtr Bjorlykke in January 1915 in Norway.
