Ships to Hull from Christiania/Copenhagen 1889

My gg-father Claus Johansen arrived Philadelphia on S/S British King, June 3, 1889 from Liverpool. But how did he travel from Copenhagen/Fyn to Liverpool/Hull? Did the emigrantships from Christiania to Hull sailed from Copenhagen via Christiania (S/S Angelo 1889-05-17?) Any help will be appreciated/Arne Sorensen
