Shipwreck Hudson river January 1912

I am trying to find out the name of a ship that I believe to have shipwrecked at the Hudson river (or somewhere close) in January 1912. I believe it collided, but are not sure. My great grandfather, Torger Emil Pedersen, was on board that ship and was probably the Chief Master. He died in this shipwreck. Does anyone in this forum have any information on this shipwreck or know where I can find information about it?
