Simon Rustad and Anne Magdalena Eliasdatter

Simon was born in Lillehammer in January of 1826. Anne was supposedly born in Fredrikshald on September 8, 1823. Simon's family moved to the Oslo and they resided there until they joined Reverend C. L. Clausen's group who came to America. They departed in 1853. My information says that Anne Magdalena was the daughter of Berte Jensdatter and Elias Nelsson, but gives no other information about them - from Denmark, Sweden, or Norway? I would really like to find out who they were and as much information as I could possibly gather. Any information would be greatly appreaciated. We have Anne listed as an only child. Additional family lore says that Elias was a ship's captain. Any information anyone could help me with would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Barb
