SKAUGUM farm

Does anyone know where SKAUGUM farm is located? First person to America was Richard Martin Skaug - emigrated 1878 - married to Mary/Maria Grutrud Collins. Lived in Polk County, MN. I am following his lines of Carl John Skaug 1884 MN. This family, and the following family were neighbors at one time. I cannot find either the farm, nor the ship they came over on, supposedly to NY, following freinds and relatives into the MN area where there were 'Scandia' settlements. Second family: VALTINSON, Valtin (1820 Ramsvig Norway) & wife Engeborg Dorthea Oldsdatter - emigrated 1854, Citizenship 1860. Houston County, MN. His son, Olaus Bjerby Valtinson (1841) married second wife Bretha (Betsy) Jordahl born 1862 WI-1911 MN, daughter fo Ole T. Jordahl and Agatha Olson of Norway. Settled in Smiley Twp. & also Polk County. This family is said to come into the US on a ship into the Port of Wisconsin? SUPPOSEDLY related to Kings and Queens. ALL family members were Lutherans. I am so lost I am not sure I am even posting in the correct area!
