SS Atlas

I note on the Atlas page (/ships/atlat/) that the ship was transferred to Mediterranean Service from Trans-Atlantic service in 1884, however, I have record of a relative from Ireland landing in Boston on the Atlas on 5/15/88 http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ArchivesSearch/PassengerDetail.aspx?ID=9099138 Could this be an error or perhaps the Atlas was used for both Trans-Atlantic and Mediterranean service? Anyone have any photos of the Atlas? Thanks, Kevin Doyle Nairobi, Kenya
