surname Berg

I have very little to go on, but I am trying to locate the birthplace, and the parents of a girl named Irene Berg. She was in American in 1920, and was married to Gustav Christiansen Haugland.. The 1920 census for the state of Wisconsin, USA. That census also gives her birthplace as Norway. I would also be interested in learning a little abot the surname BERG in NORWAY. It just doesn't sound like a surname of Noewegian origin. Any scrap of information would be useful. Thank you Dona
