her parents were listed on the 1900 & 1910 census in chicago, il, as jens and karen berg (actually born karen trulsdatter & jens samuelsen). however, her parents would have been about 54 and 58 respectively. so, i somehow doubt that. i have a suspicion that she may have been a child of one of jens and karen's daughters, born out of wedlock. the children of jens and karen berg are: ole & anna b 1862.12.11 oslo, norway caroline b 1865.08.30 oslo, norway ragnhild b 1869.06.13 oslo, norway robert b 1872.06 mn, usa anna married ludwig kallak in 1885 and had 6 children. no idea what became of ole, but i suspect not a male. caroline married in 1904 and had a daughter (my ggrandmother) robert married ida johnson 1892 and had 10 children i suspect ragnhild. i don't have any information about her marrying. it's just a hunch. my ggrandmother refered to olive (ollie) as her cousin (which would be correct- but the census lists her as her grandparents daughter, ie her aunt). i was hoping that there might be some descendants here who might know the story. robert and anna both had large families, so i thought there might be some hope of finding their offspring.
