Have been looking for a family who are reported emigrated to USA. I can follow him, Jacob Ericsen to Hull in 1869. His destination was Monroe. The wife, Marthe Nilsdatter Gystad and two of their kids left in 1871. Ticket paid from “Amerika” and destination LaCross via Quebec. This people were Thranitters. A kind of a working class movement in Norway. They were registered and even their friends and family where watched by the government. The leader Marcus Thrane died in Au Clear. Is there any known place where this kind of people lived in USA.?? After being watched and looked after here in Norway they probably changed their names when they had the opportunity. Tom
