Translation help...

Hello. I'm doing research in the Hitterdal-boken. And found a line in the book that isn't translating well with my translation source. "I kirkeboken staar: Ellev Torjusen Odegaar der av raseri skjøt sig ihjel, or efter antat resolution blev buired uden klokker. gl. 60 aar." (page 392, 83.4.I.5 ... for anyone who has a copy of this bygdebok) All I can make out is that "The Church book reads: ..." and something in reference to rage, death, and 60 years?
