Hello.
I am looking for information about Ursin Olseng. ( Full name: Christian Ursin Olsen Olseng) who emigrated on may 20th 1880 from Skjeberg to Chicago.
Listing in the Norwegian Emigrantbase:
http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=12&filnamn=emikra1&gardpostnr=20036&merk=20036#ovre
And listing in the Castle Garden base:
http://www.castlegarden.org/quick_search_detail.php?p_id=726914
But what happend to him? Did he stay in Chicago? As he has an unusual middle name, maybe he could be found?
I think "Ursin" is derived from the name "Augen" or "Eugene" (which would be the english way to pronounce it).
But am I correct in saying that "Ursin" also refers to a child who is an orphan?
Can anybody help me?
