When the 1881 UK census was being conducted my g'g'granfather gave his address as the Vesel: Vandis. He and 15 other men were aboard the Vanadis that day/night/ Could this be the Norwegian bark Vanadis in for a refit or did it run aground in ther Thames esturay?
